Walace is an experienced midfielder who joined Cruzeiro in July 2024, coming from Udinese, Italy. He cost around 6 million euros, approximately R$ 36 million, to Cruzeiro's coffers.

The loan of Walace to Esporte Clube Vitória occurs after a tumultuous spell at Cruzeiro. He was involved in an internal controversy in April and had been training separately since then.
