Esporte Clube Vitória announced on Wednesday (9) that the Supermercados BH network will be the club's new sponsor. The contract has a duration of one year and provides for the display of the brand on the back of the team's jersey.
What happened?
The partnership was announced by President Fábio Mota during a press conference. In addition to the professional men's team, the brand will also be present on the uniforms of the women's team and the under-20 category.
Why is this important for Esporte Clube Vitória?
The partnership accompanies the process of expansion of Supermercados BH in Bahia. The network already has units in Vitória da Conquista, Guanambi, Porto Seguro and Feira de Santana and is preparing to open stores in Salvador.
What's next?
Esporte Clube Vitória currently occupies 13th place in the Série A of the Brazilian Championship, with 22 points. The team's next commitment will be on Wednesday (16/7), at 19:30, against Vasco, at the Barradão.
The president of Vitória reported that a representative of the company would participate in the official announcement, but did not attend due to the inauguration of a new unit of the network in Feira de Santana. Founded in 1996 by entrepreneur Pedro Lourenço, Supermercados BH has around 400 stores and over 50,000 employees. The company also sponsors Atlético and Cruzeiro, making Vitória the third club in the Série A of the Brazilian Championship to display the brand on its uniform.
